Dodging one for hunger

Chicago teenagers learned that every 3.6 seconds someone in the world dies of hunger.

“That’s every time you take a breath,” said Luke Terrell, Christ Evangelical Lutheran Church.

So teens from six area churches participated in a dodgeball tournament to raise money for the ELCA World Hunger Appeal.

And ELCA Youth Gathering participants were asked to bring $30 when they gather in New Orleans July 22-26 for “Change the World,” a challenge to raise $1 million for the appeal.
