Blue hearts beat

The U.N. launched a campaign against growing global human trafficking — one heart at a time.

The heart is blue, representing the sadness of the millions that the U.N. Office on Drugs and Crime count as entrapped in the 21st century form of slavery.

Supporters can download a heart logo to add to their Web pages and learn more about the effort at the U.N. Web site.

In 2001 the ELCA Church Council adopted a social message on commercial sexual exploitation.
