The recession isn’t paralyzing members of St. Paul Lutheran Church, Newark, Del., where they’re moving ahead with a $2 million expansion.
John W. Keating, one of the pastors, was quoted on delawareonline.com: “It is a contrarian investment in the future. It speaks of our faith in God’s ability to find a way where there appears to be no way.”
The project includes a new chancel, main entrance, narthex, renovated restrooms and seating for 100 additional worshipers.
