Mount Calvary goes green

The first congregation in Excelsior, Minn., to join in a community project to make environmental changes is Mount Calvary Lutheran.

It’s one of 40 organizations — from the car dealership to the cafe — pledging to implement at least nine green strategies of UpOnGreen, which seeks to make environmental claims sensible, cost-effective and attractive to customers.

Mount Calvary’s motivation: “to save the Earth and quit wasting our natural resources.”
