Concerned about rising incarceration rates in the U.S.?

A 19-member ELCA task force is drafting a proposed social statement on criminal justice, to be considered by the 2013 ELCA Churchwide Assembly.

Members include Dawn Jeglum Bartusch, assistant professor of sociology and criminology at Valparaiso [Ind.] University; professors of law and theology; clergy; attorneys; a retired state supreme court justice; and people who work within the criminal justice system.
