William T. Lee may be a retired ELCA pastor living in New Haven, Conn., but he still ministers most days between drives and putts.
That’s because Lee is a golfer, and not just any golfer. Despite giving up the game for a few extended periods since his teens — including throughout much of his time as a pastor — he remains a highly competitive golfer.
Bill Lee’s swing ranks him No. 1 among senior golfers in Connecticut.
Recently, Lee was inducted into the Connecticut Golf Hall of Fame. He is a three-time Connecticut State Golf Association Amateur champion, and last September, a few months before his 65th birthday, he won the Senior State Amateur Championship.
