German Protestants unite

The Evangelical Lutheran Church in Thuringia and the Evangelical Church of the Province of Saxony merged Jan. 1 to form the Evangelical Church in Central Germany.

Located in former communist East Germany, the merged body is one of 22 regional Protestant churches that make up the Evangelical Church in Germany, the country’s main Protestant group.

It is a realy good thing that the protestants have since agreedto merge with the Lutheran family. In the outside world it is agood thing also and I am sure the world is learning a lesson.

I wish and hope it will work out when they get fellow together with the orther Lutheran congregants.
