Grega joins staff of Valpo, Gettysburg's lacrosse coach wins award, Grand View becomes university and more ...

• Darlene Grega, an ELCA pastor, joined the staff of Valparaiso [Ind.] University’s Chapel of the Resurrection. The staff includes Lutheran Church–Missouri Synod pastors Joseph Cunningham and James Wetzstein. “The ministry of the chapel benefits from the presence of a pastor from the ELCA,” Cunningham said. “There are many areas of campus ministry where Pastor Wetzstein and I are looking forward to cooperating with Pastor Grega within the guidelines of our respective church bodies.”

Gettysburg [Pa.] College men’s lacrosse coach Hank Janczyk, one of the sport’s most successful coaches in NCAA history, won the Howdy Myers Man of the Year Award from the U.S. Intercollegiate Lacrosse Association.

• Trustees of Grand View College, Des Moines, Iowa, voted Oct. 10 to change the institution’s name to Grand View University. The change became effective Oct. 29 with the accreditation of the school’s first graduate program, the master of science in innovative leadership. The program was developed in collaboration with more than 30 Des Moines-area businesses, nonprofits, school systems, health-care providers and professional associations.
