This quilt is available to ELCA congregations hosting an event with more than 600 participants (call 800-638-3522, ext. 2448).
The 22-by-24-foot quilt is based on a painting by He Qi, a Chinese Christian artist.
It was used as a stage backdrop during the 2008 ELCA Global Mission Event.
The 13 quilters participate in “Women of Hope,” which provides Nigerian women affected by HIV/AIDS with transitional housing, food and funds to pay for their children’s education.
