Sudan: Well and growing

Martha Akuol Akol, holding The Lutheran in which she appeared (July 2008, "Be it ever so humble"), is doing well and growing vegetables in Kongor, Sudan.

Martha Akuol AkolAkol is self-sufficient after initial help from the Lutheran World Federation.

Her family relies on the kale, eggplant, tomatoes and sorghum she grows.

Although her first crop of onions was destroyed by animals, in November she had a new crop, along with pumpkins, and was wondering how to get fencing and pesticides.
