The ELCA Deaconess Community has a scheduling conflict.
Members will be in Atlanta for the 20th World Assembly of the DIAKONIA World Federation in July when the ELCA Youth Gathering is held in New Orleans.
Since the community can’t be present to connect with the youth, they’ll send buttons instead.
Trinkets are often traded at the gathering, so the deaconesses will create a button just for the “Jesus, Justice, Jazz” youth event.
Each deaconess will ask a youth group to trade the buttons.
