In a country of 27 million people, Hindus are the dominant religious group.
Nepal will join Canada, Spain, Belgium, the Netherlands, Norway and South Africa in recognizing same-sex marriage.
In the U.S., only Massachusetts and Connecticut allow same-sex marriage.
