Liberian church massacre

Witnesses confirmed reports by former soldiers that the Armed Forces of Liberia committed the 1990 massacre of 600 people inside St. Peter Lutheran Church, Monrovia, Liberia.

According to APA News, Boi Bleuju Boi testified during Truth and Reconciliation Commission hearings that soldiers loyal to slain president Samuel K. Doe carried out the massacre.

Boi said it would have been impossible for rebels led by former president Charles Taylor to carry out the massacre and escape from the government-controlled area.
