Christians in Iraq

In October, following 14 killings of Christians in a two-week span, the Middle East Council of Churches called on the Iraqi government to do more to protect Christians in Mosul.

According to a Nov. 2 CNN report, Iraqi President Jalal Talabani pledged nearly $900,000 to protect “the rights and freedoms of Christians” in Iraq.
