The World Alliance of Reformed Churches and the Reformed Ecumenical Council plan to form a global Protestant body to overcome what REC President Peter Borgdorff calls a “history of separation.”
The World Communion of Reformed Churches, made up of 214 church bodies, will have its inaugural general council in June 2010 in Grand Rapids, Mich.
“This is a global witness that unity is a better way,” Borgdorff said.
