Is the U.S. 'uniquely blessed'?

A poll found that six in 10 Americans think the U.S. is “uniquely blessed” by God and eight in 10 think the country sometimes does more harm than good in relating to the rest of the world.

Researchers commissioned by PBSReligion & Ethics NewsWeekly and the U.N. Foundation found that 44 percent of Americans strongly feel the latter sentiment.

Sixty-eight percent of people who attend worship weekly said the country has a moral obligation to take part in world affairs, compared with 54 percent of less frequent attendees.
