In a November candlelight procession for peace, 1,000 Christian Palestinians and 20 Israelis traveled from Beit Jalla to Bethlehem to Rachel’s Tomb.
The Evangelical Lutheran Church in Jordan and the Holy Land organized the vigil and prayer service to celebrate 125 years of a Lutheran church in the Holy Land.
Rabbi Arik Ascherman of Rabbis for Human Rights participated in the prayers, calling it a visual opportunity to break down stereotypes Palestinians may have of Israelis.
