Lutheran World Federation General Secretary Ishmael Noko welcomed Zimbabwe’s agreement for a unity government as “a reasonable compromise for peace.”
Noting that the wider global community has adopted a “wait and see” approach, Noko urged churches to support the move at national and international levels.
The people of Zimbabwe “deserve our support in this long-awaited but fragile moment of hope,” he said.
