China tops State Department list

China’s government rejected criticisms in the U.S. State Department’s “2008 Report on International Religious Freedom.”

The report said repression of religious freedom has intensified in some areas of the world’s most populous country.

China, Myanmar (Burma) and North Korea continue to top the list of countries with poor religious freedom records.
