When House Speaker Nancy Pelosi said recently she supports reinstating the 1949 Fairness Doctrine of the Federal Communications Commission, many Christian broadcasters protested.
One is Rich Bott, owner of a Kansas-based network that broadcasts over 10 states, who said such a move would “really make it impossible to preach the whole counsel of God.”
The doctrine requires that one-third of the airtime given to one opinion must be offered free-of-charge to opponents.
