Give it away

Each member of New Hope Lutheran Church, Monticello, Ind., received an envelope with Matthew 10:8 written on the front (“You received without payment; give without payment”) and $1 to $10.

They were told to give it away and return the next week to tell their stories.

Some put their gift on windshields; others used it to make cookies or spaghetti to be given away.

Some gave it to people standing in line at the coffee shop or market.

Or dollars became coins given out at the laundromat.
