Peter Rogness, bishop of the St. Paul Area Synod, on Aug. 20 joined Minnesota Gov. Tim Pawlenty, U.S. Sen. Amy Klobuchar and other state leaders at a ceremony where the governor declared Minnesota a “ONE State.”
The ONE Campaign is a grass-root effort to motivate people to fight HIV/AIDs and extreme poverty.
The movement seeks an additional 1 percent of the U.S. budget to address global poverty, debt relief for the world’s most impoverished countries and fair international trade rules.
