Outreach to NASCAR crowd

Folks at Good Shepherd Lutheran Church, Liverpool, Pa., know about “location, location, location.”

Their church is located at Routes 11/15, a major thoroughfare that NASCAR participants pass through on their way home from the annual race in Watkins Glen, N.Y.

Each August huge trucks that haul equipment and drivers go by the church.

Member Marlene Landis said it’s the only day all year that she won’t work.

Crowds gather at the church to watch the NASCAR parade and feast on hot dogs, chips and soda, compliments of Good Shepherd.
