I am both a victim and benefactor of the events that produced a schism in the Lutheran Church-Missouri Synod between 1969 and 1975. I was a student at Concordia Seminary, St. Louis, during investigations into the seminary faculty's teachings. I also was the student body's delegate to the New Orleans convention which declared that faculty "not to be tolerated by the Church of God."
