Books head to libraries overseas

Developing theological institutions and libraries can benefit from an ELCA initiative called the Lutheran International Library Assistance Project (651-641-3251).

The program ships around 10,000 books every year to areas without access to theological literature, mostly in African, Asian and Eastern European countries.

The initiative is funded by the ELCA Global Mission Fund and the Global Mission Institute at Luther Seminary, St. Paul, Minn., but monetary gifts and book donations are appreciated.
