A survey by Ellison Research, Phoenix, found that 40 percent of unchurched Americans don’t entirely stay away from worship.
In contrast, 37 percent of churched Americans don’t make it to religious services every week, even though they consider themselves regular attenders.
Ellison President Ron Sellers said the study found “that one out of every five Americans is attending worship services at least occasionally during the year, even though they are not regularly involved.”
