Global warming will boost faith organizations’ spending on humanitarian efforts, predicts a report from the National Council of Churches.
More money and volunteer services will be required for the poor, those most affected by climate change that is expected to increase the lack of food, shelter and water available.
To maintain the current level of support, spending will need to be doubled on food security in developing countries. The Intergovernmental Panel on Climate Change provided data for the report.
