The Zion-Lutheran Connection, a committee from Soldiers Memorial AME Zion and St. John Lutheran in Salisbury, N.C., is breaking down racial and cultural walls separating the congregations.
In 2007 the committee began with a shared music and arts camp for youth. This year they had a joint two-hour family music extravaganza followed by a picnic dinner.
