did this work earlier in 2008 as part of a three-day immersion in inner-city Omaha life and ministries called Urban Plunge. For many teens and adults, it’s a first-step experience out of their “comfort zones,” said Jill Adams of Christ for the City International, the sponsoring organization. “Also, they learn about their giftedness and passion.” First is one of seven ELCA congregations that have participated in Urban Plunge since 2007.
