Lutheran Health Care, an ELCA-affiliated hospital in Brooklyn, N.Y., has launched Chinese and Russian language versions of its Web site. Previously the hospital had only English and Spanish-language Web sites.
Up next will be a Web site where Arabic speakers can access hospital information and content. In addition to external communication efforts that reach diverse ethnic communities, hospital employees routinely go through cultural competency training.
