"Lux Aurumque” (light of gold) is the title selection on an outstanding CD of 13 pieces of a cappella music—all suggesting the starlight shining on the Bethlehem stable. The Gothic Records album is the final recording by The Dale Warland Singers , a renowned 40-voice professional choir.
Founded by Warland in 1972, the group was based in Minneapolis/St. Paul until it disbanded in 2004 when he retired as director. Warland, a recipient of virtually every award in the choral music field, continues to be active in teaching, conducting and composing. He is a member of Central Lutheran Church , Minneapolis.
