A design competition for gifts to be presented by the ELCA to global and ecumenical representatives is being held in honor of the denomination’s 20th anniversary.
The gifts may be in any medium, but must be easily and inexpensively replicated. They also may be packaged for overseas distribution so artists should be mindful of weight and fragility. Options include, but are not limited to, crosses, calligraphy, icons and lithographs. Designs may not be larger than 12 inches square and 1 inch thick.
Artists must be ELCA members and may submit one entry. Send photos or slides by Sept. 1. Originals will be requested of finalists. Send entries to Myrna Sheie, Office of the ELCA Presiding Bishop, 8765 W. Higgins Rd., Chicago, IL 60631.

I have a question about the contest for a gift for the ELCA due in my Sept. 1? It says in the article to send in a slide or photo..Is it ok or preferable to send in a CD with the art piece on it?
Or...to email the entry?
Thanks for quick response as time is of the essence.

My questions aer the same as listed above...do I send in a CD of the art work and email it as well? or do you really just want a slide...or photo?
What email to use if so? And yes to the CD image of the artwork?
Thanks. Dyan Lawlor
