Reader prompts call for ideas

The caller got right to the point: “What the magazine needs, must have, is more about evangelism.”

George C. Weirick, a retired pastor from Ravens-wood, W.Va., spoke for a number of readers who said much the same in letters, e-mails and voice-mail messages over the course of this year.

“Tell us about programs that work, or unusual or new evangelism methods. Invite the readers of The Lutheran to tell you what they have done, successfully, to reach newcomers. This church needs your help,” Weirick said.
