Youth from St. Stephen Lutheran Church, New Kingstown, Pa., were among 36,612 young people and adults attending the ELCA Youth Gathering in San Antonio either July 5-9 or 12-16. The St. Stephen group, known as The Posse, spent months preparing for “Cruzando: Journey with Jesus.” 
Joining their caribiners to show their connectedness are Michael Lengel (left), 16; Cody Teitman, 15; Lesley Orlousky, 18; Rebekeh Waters, 17; Anthony Clerk, 17; and Stephanie Horne, 15. The youth attended MYLE, the Multicultural Youth Leadership Event and week one of the Gathering. Coverage of the event will appear in the September issue.
