It’s difficult to believe that Frederick
Buechner is nearly 80. This well-known author and Presbyterian minister
has published more than 30 books.
To each new generation, his work is a revelation. Some meet him through his novels; others through his nonfiction writing.
Perhaps the full range of Buechner’s imagination is most dramatic in his sermons. HarperSanFrancisco just released Secrets in the Dark: A Life in Sermons,
a combination of author favorites that have appeared elsewhere and
others previously unpublished. They appear in chronological order.
