What would I look for in a Sunday school teacher? This position is really important—not only to those interested in teaching but to the youth.

This person needs to be passionate about teaching and guiding impressionable youth who are going through a rough stage in their lives, whether in faith or otherwise. This isn’t something to put on a resume. This is for someone who sees it as a great way to teach about their faith. A song from Mary Poppins describing the perfect nanny contains lines that fit for a perfect teacher. Teachers should:

• Have a cheery disposition. This person should be ready to set a good example for pupils, especially behaviorally.
