Hamiltons to end hunger

Three years ago young people headed to Atlanta for the ELCA Youth Gathering were urged to pack their quarters. This year they’re encouraged to bring “Hamiltons for Hunger.”

“This campaign will be much less noisy, much lighter and much easier to manage at the gathering,” said Heidi Hagstrom, the event’s director (www.elca.org/gathering).

Youth raised $800,000 for Stand With Africa and the ELCA World Hunger Appeal in 2003—just short of their $1 million goal. Those attending the July 5-9 and 12-16 gatherings in San Antonio are urged to bring at least three $10 bills for ELCA World Hunger.
