Mistrust undermines what we say we are

I'm more troubled about another cultural influence that is more subtle than sexuality and far more insidious. That issue is mistrust. The total church membership once had great pride about the life and work of the entire church organization. Now many signs of distrust exist, probably the most I've seen, between congregations and synods, pastors and bishops, members and the national organization.
