The Department for Ecumenical Affairs, with the help of the Lutheran Ecumenical Representative Network, implemented initiatives to help seminarians grow in ecumenical knowledge and commitment. They include: an essay contest, awarding a scholarship to the student who makes the best written contribution on an ecumenical topic; a “J” term for seminarians to focus on pressing ecumenical issues; the inclusion of seminarians on the LERN executive board; and the development of experienced ecumenists to mentor seminarians who are growing in their commitment to church unity.

The Augsburg Fortress store has extended its hours until 7 p.m. Stop by to shop the complete store selection. Tomorrow a limited selection will be available in the store from 6:30 a.m.-1 p.m. and 5:30-10 p.m. Presiding Bishop Mark Hanson will sign his book, Faithful and Courageous, in the store from 12:15-1 p.m. tomorrow.
Solid Rock hosts open meetings each night at 8 p.m. in the Key West Ballroom, North Tower.
The WordAlone Network hosts a Bible study and prayer time daily at 7 a.m. in the Key West Ballroom. All are invited to that room in the evenings for informational sessions and to learn more about this renewing movement in the ELCA.
