The Magazine of The Evangelical Lutheran Church in America

Introducing ...

During Wednesday’s deliberation about whether to adopt a new red worship book as part of the Renewing Worship project, voting members and visitors heard quite a bit about “the green book.”

If you saw Barbara Berry-Bailey, ELCA associate director for worship, on Wednesday, you might have seen she was carrying a bit of 1978 with her.

Inside a large cardboard box labeled “Resources for introducing Lutheran Book of Worship” were two filmstrips, two records (one with settings for prayer services, the other for accompanying the filmstrip) and a cassette.

A friend of Berry-Bailey sent her the box.
