The candle burns

It calls me again to take my place in its warmth and truth

The candle burns as a beacon of hope for all who are in darkness, calling us into its light and warmth. We draw near and take on the hues of the flame, becoming a part of the light.

The candle calls me again to take my place beside it. Sitting there, my heart is quiet, at rest — because the candle burns.
