Finding God on the airwaves used to mean tuning in staticky a.m. frequencies or smooth-talking televangelists. No more. With MP3 (digital audio) players such as Apple's iPod, "godcasting" is now one of the most popular types of downloaded audio. Religion News Service reports there's "more God on iPod than jazz, theater or movie reviews," and a search at www.ipodder.org reveals everything from "Rabbi Garfinkel's Podcast" to the ELCA's Grace Matters. (There are 110 religion-related downloads at www.podcast.net.) At the two sites, ELCA congregations offer sermons for downloading: Bethel, Cupertino, Calif., and Our Saviour, Naperville, Ill.
