"I used to look at health and wholeness as the absence of illness and disability, but now I believe it's the presence of a good attitude and a strong heart and a solid faith," she said. "I know now that brokenness is OK. That illness is an unfortunate part of life but does not mean an absence of God. I know that God is by our side whether we are sick or well, or abled or disabled."
