Bridging Miami's cultures

The ELCA's largest Hispanic church helps lead a major mission initiative

"We have the opportunity to re-create Lutheranism in the Miami area," said Ruben Duran, executive for congregational outreach services of the ELCA Division for Outreach. The churchwide office, the Florida-Bahamas Synod, Principe de Paz and other Miami-area congregations forged a partnership for a Hispanic mission initiative now gathering strength in South Florida.
