A different way, and one with a long tradition in Christianity, is hospitality. When going to the movies, try to be friendly to the film and the people behind it. You'll find that an amazing number of movies — no matter what rating they receive — can be paths to self-understanding, spiritual growth, engagement with others and connection with the wider world.
