Singing is the first thing we hear as we make our way around a modest office building in Nairobi, Kenya.
Then our ELCA delegation sees the women--dressed in their best, smiling, clapping and waving. The joy on the women's faces masks the horror they've lived, the stories they tell. They are survivors. They are women who've found peace, security and each other in a foreign land. They are SWAN: the Sudanese Women's Association in Nairobi.
