I'm writing a book about living our Christian faith and hope for the sake of God's glory and the welfare of our neighbors, especially to combat the world's injustices. Amid my immersion in this subject, I received a call from the man who makes my shoes, and I realized he offers a stellar example.
Through a God-guided chain of unlikely events a few years ago, I was introduced to "Buck" Burkhartzmeyer from Faribault, Minn., who skillfully adapts shoes to support my crippled leg.
