Writing a spiritual journal during Lent can put you in step with God

"Every new relationship causes the Messiah to take one step nearer," promises an old Jewish proverb. This Lenten season, boot your computer, drag out your antique typewriter or buy a simple lined pad and smooth-flowing pen — write to God in the presence of God. You'll be taking a step nearer to God each day, too, as you develop a deeper relationship.

Keeping a spiritual journal takes discipline. What will you "give up for Lent" if you decide to begin a journal? Time. You'll need to sacrifice time every day.
