The ELCA Conference
of Bishops, meeting in retreat March 2, heard two papers examining what
the Bible says about homosexual behavior. They were presented by
Terence E. Fretheim, professor of Old Testament, Luther Seminary, St.
Paul, Minn., and Walter F. Taylor Jr., professor of New Testament
studies, Trinity Lutheran Seminary, Columbus, Ohio.
