Reviewed the first draft of the evangelism strategy to be presented to the 2003 Churchwide Assembly. Asked the Office of the Bishop, the Church Council and all involved in ELCA strategic planning to make evangelism and outreach the central focus.

Heard plans for regional weekend experiences called "Come, See, Discover Ministry in Action" to introduce young adults to mission development.

Acknowledged its relationship with Lutherans Concerned/North America, an organization working for welcome and participation of sexual minorities in the church. A new policy allows church units to establish relationships with independent organizations.
